Looking back to the beginning of 2018, I now realize how far we have come: the Foundation office moved back to downtown Allegan; long-time, dedicated staff member Lee Wittkop retired; Jennifer Collins joined us as Marketing & Growth Director; former board trustee, Cindy Baker, came on as a Program and Operations Associate; beloved Board Trustee, John Mahan retired after many years of heartfelt service; Tim Batchelor, Ricardo Bazan and Lisa Banas joined the team as new Trustees; our hearts ached over the loss of our friend and Trustee, David Balas; more than 60 non-profits and 240 students shared grants and scholarships of $1,344,520; Love Your Hometown was piloted with great success; and as you read this, we are packing boxes and getting ready to head to the permanent home of the Allegan County Community Foundation at 112 Locust Street, Allegan. Although the pace can be swift at times, we never lose sight of what makes our work possible — you. Those who have given since 1964 have made the more than $10,000,000 in grants and $2,000,000 in scholarships possible. You have made it possible for tens of thousands of people to be impacted by the work of non-profit grant recipients. You have helped reduce the cost and stress for thousands of young people starting a new educational chapter.
The Staff and Board of the Foundation thank you for your past and future support. If you have a question about our work or how we can help you with your charitable goals, please give me a call -269.673.8344. I am always delighted to talk about the work I am privileged to do because of your generosity.
There is much work yet to do. Please make a contribution today.
