Members of the Lakeshore Women who Care of Allegan County raised over $7,000 in donations for the Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative this summer.  The Allegan County Community Foundation created and supports the collaborative so participating pantries can benefit from coordinated resources.  The 16 pantries in Allegan County are very happy to receive this generous gift which will allow the collaborative to purchase much needed and rarely available protein items.

Lakeshore Women who Care of Allegan County has raised more than 190,000 for local charities since they formed in 2012.  Their next meeting is scheduled for 5:30 Thursday September 9 at the Women’s club in Saugatuck (303 Butler Street).  New members are invited to attend and encouraged to join.
