Allegan County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Justice Professional Scholarship Fund
A fund of the Allegan County Community FoundationThe Sheriff-Community Relations Advisory Board established a scholarship program for Allegan County residents who will be enrolling in a Criminal Justice program or track. In keeping with the purpose of the Board, the group is committed to encouraging and assisting students who desire to become criminal justice professionals. The scholarships will be awarded annually to individuals who reflect the highest potential for a criminal justice career. Eligibility
- Applicants must carry a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Applicants must intend to enroll full-time in a Criminal Justice program or track
- Applicants must be Allegan County residents
- Applicants can be graduating seniors or non-traditional adult student
Prior to determining a scholar, the top three finalists will meet with the scholarship review committee and must have an acceptable criminal background check and driving record.
Non-Endowed Fund Purpose: To provide immediate funds for scholarships for Allegan County residents in the pursuit of an education in criminal justice.
Endowment Fund Purpose: To provide a long-term source for scholarships in the future.
