Description

Saugatuck Scholarship Foundation LogoThe Saugatuck Douglas Garden Club’s purpose is to promote, encourage and support the use of flora to enrich and beautify Saugatuck and Douglas, Michigan, and surrounding areas. We encourage protection of existing flora including endangered species and to further horticultural education, conservation and landscape design through gift scholarships and community projects.

The Saugatuck Scholarship Foundation (SSF) has been serving the students and graduates of the Saugatuck-Douglas schools since 1986. The SSF awards scholarships to students and graduates of Saugatuck High School. A board comprised of local business, civic and community leaders oversees the scholarship process throughout the year.

Through the SSF, you can help support the students in our community. The financial support of businesses, professional organizations and individuals is essential. Together, we can make higher education more affordable for our students, ensuring a well-qualified workforce that is prepared to meet the needs of our rapidly changing, global economy.

Since 1986, over $500,000 in scholarships and grants have been awarded to more than 500 students.
