Description

Allegan County Community Foundation – Youth Endowment Fund
PO Box 278
Allegan, MI 49010
269.673.8344
The Youth Endowment Fund was established in 1994 by Perrigo Executives, Mike Jandernoa and Bill Swaney. They generously responded to a challenge grant issued by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation; if a community foundation received gifts up to $1,000,000 dollars to support a youth endowment, the Kellogg Foundation would match those gifts. The gifts made by Mr. Jandernoa and Mr. Swaney provided for the establishment of the Allegan County Community Foundation Youth Endowment Fund and the Perrigo Endowment Fund. The ACCF Youth Endowment has been overseen by the TAG Team of the Foundation since 1994.
The TAG Team is represented by 12 to 18 year olds enrolled in the nine school districts located in Allegan County. These representatives meet up to 20 times per year to perform community services activities, review grants submitted by youth-serving non-profits, and review the annual TAG Team Scholarship.
Name: ACCF Youth Endowment Fund
Purpose: To provide funding through grants for the non-profits serving Allegan County youth.
